In the fall of 2007, the A Cappella Choir released its first Christmas CD entitled: “In Thy Sweet Humility.” This newest edition to the discography of the A Cappella choir will feature familiar carols, anthems and hymns based on the Advent and Nativity of our Lord. Included in the recording will be the four hymns that have become a principal feature of the annual Christmas at Concordia concert at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward – See Amid the Winter Snow, Where Shepherds Lately Knelt, A Stable Lamp is Lighted, and O Savior of Our Fallen Race. The CD booklet will contain a devotion written specifically for each hymn by members of Concordia’s faculty and will be ideal for devotional use by families preparing for the celebration of Christmas each year. Also included in the track list will be three well-known Christmas carols as performed by Concordia’s Brass Quintet, under the direction of Professor Andrew Schultz.
